Bio
King Sigh is a Belgian band, based in the small village of Scherpenheuvel.
When drummer Koen Muylaert left the band, Peter Laermans & Zowie Vangeel decided to change tactics and started some homerecording, an endless process which resulted in this self-released eight song long album Entering.
Drummer Koen rejoined the band, this time to play the guitar.. And together with new drummer Tim Haesevoets, these guys are about to do some damage:) On our website http://www.myspace.com/kingsigh you can download the album for free! (more than 1100 downloads of the entire album at the moment)
The 4 members of this band are befriended for several years en all have a decent dose of experience in different genres, mastered in many other bands. Within this band the four of them together are now surfing the same (sound)wave.
The sound of King Sigh is difficult to locate in genre(s)... Experts say the music balances somewhere in between Jean Michel Jarre, Sigur Rós and firm, though spacey rock, while others don't hesitate to involve terms like 'instrumental, filmic & postrock'... The first reactions from out of different corners are very positive indeed!
